Off the back of their critically acclaimed 2022 solo albums, Gareth Dunlop & Lee Rogers were tasked with writing the end credit song for the first official 'William Faulkner’ documentary.
'The Past Is Never Dead’ was inspired by Faulkner’s life, literary works and his role in today’s conversation on race, civil rights and community.
Littered with loaded thoughts against a stripped-down acoustic backdrop, the lyrics question how our collective past can influence today and the days yet to come.
